Improves contour and shape
Firmer, lifted breasts that are proportionate to the rest of the body.
Want to recover the firmness and natural position of your bust? A breast lift corrects breast sagging and restores harmony to your silhouette with natural, lasting results.
A breast lift is a plastic surgery that raises and reshapes the breasts by removing excess skin and rearranging the breast tissue. Unlike breast augmentation, whose goal is to increase volume with implants, a breast lift seeks to restore position and firmness without necessarily adding volume. In some cases, when the patient has little glandular tissue or wants more projection, it can be combined with implants for a more complete result. To achieve this, incisions are made around the areola and, depending on the degree of sagging, extended vertically or in an L shape to remove excess skin and reposition the nipple-areola complex. The result is firmer, lifted breasts that are proportionate to the rest of the body.

A breast lift is performed in the operating room under strict aseptic conditions. General anesthesia is generally used, although in some cases regional anesthesia combined with sedation is employed. Surgery time varies between two and four hours depending on complexity and whether it is combined with other surgeries such as breast implants. Once finished, the patient recovers in the observation room and can go home the same day, as it is an outpatient procedure.
General or regional anesthesia is administered according to the anesthesiologist’s assessment. Pre-surgical marks are made on the bust to ensure symmetry and proportion.
According to the chosen technique (periareolar, vertical or L-shaped), cuts are made around the areola and in the lower part of the breast to access the glandular tissue and remove excess skin.
The nipple-areola complex is raised to a higher, centered position, maintaining the connection with ducts and nerves. The breast tissue is rearranged to give shape and firmness.
If the patient wants more volume, silicone implants are placed at this stage. They can be round or anatomical, placed behind the muscle or the gland.
The skin is sutured with techniques that minimize scarring. Temporary drains are sometimes placed to prevent fluid accumulation.
Used for mild ptosis. The incision is made around the areola, where the scar is concealed by the natural pigmentation. It allows a moderate lift and a slight shape adjustment. If the breast lacks volume, it can be accompanied by silicone implants for support.
Indicated for moderate and severe ptosis. It combines the periareolar incision with a vertical line that allows more skin to be removed, the nipple repositioned and the gland reshaped. It is the preferred technique when breast size must also be reduced.
When sagging combines with little volume, implants are recommended to achieve a fuller, more projected bust. Round or anatomical implants placed behind the muscle or the gland can be used.
Some women prefer to keep their natural volume and only want to lift and tighten the tissues. Skin is removed and the glandular tissue redistributed, achieving a firmer breast without implants.
